I am a native Floridian born in West Palm beach. My parents moved to Alabama when I was one year of age. We lived there for 8 years and moved to Pine Island in 1980 where my dad took up commercial fishing.
As young teenager I grew up right down the canal from the Matlacha boat ramp. My dad got me my first aluminum jon boat when I was old enough to pull start the old Johnson outboard engine. It was so old it didn’t have a reverse. I can remember my first redfish and the exact oyster bar I caught it. Growing up just down the road from Bascule Bridge “Matlacha Bridge” and the Matlacha park has given me great memories. As I got older and graduated high school I got involved with the local Fire department here on Pine Island. I am still employed by them and starting my 29th year. I am a father of two girls, Danielle 26 and Mikayla 21. It has made me proud to have watched them catch their first fish as my father did me. I take alot of pride in my work, both Firefighting and guiding anglers both new and experienced to their next Angling Adventure.
